Camp Craft: Shelter Making:

Students will learn the basic skills required to build a simple shelter using the materials that are provided. They will learn how to tie and secure poles together with the use of functional knots and lashings. They will also learn how to position their shelters for survival purposes in the wild. While the chance to apply such skills in urban Singapore may hardly ever arise, the process of learning how to build the shelter as a team is of learning value.

Understand the effectiveness of working together as a team, to solve problems
Learn how to think out of the box, to present the best possible solution/result/product
Realize the importance of time management and goal-setting, in relation to their studies.
